Although my family has had to cut down on nonsense expences we are still better off then most people. My wife Dorothy and I have 3 children Jaron Jr. , Shirley , and Sarah. We have lived better than we are right now , but only because my family is used to me bringing in millions of dollars every year.

Before the crash of 1929 , as a stock broker , I was making a lot of money.
I was not only affected by this , but my entire group of friends that had been pooling our money together to turn the stock market in any direction we wanted.

At one point all together we had about 10 million dollars invested in the market , this earned us the notorious name of "fat cats"

I remember when we first started giving out credit on stocks. At the time it seemed as though it was a great idea , however , in the long run I see how much it has affected society as a whole . This is also a reason why the crash was so dramatic because people didn't just lose their money , but they also lost money they didn't even have yet because of their credit stocks.

As for Mr. President Herbert Hoover I am to say the least , not impressed. His approach to solving this issue has been lackadasical and hasn't really helped anyone. He has an optimism that is not only unlikely , but in some way arrogant. There are people that are starving while he continues to be oblivious to the problems.

However, this Franklin Roosevelt character seems to have everything in order! Who knows maybe he'll be elected again!

I stumbled across this picture today and it seems to capture the energy that is going on right now. Everyone from the rich to the poor has been affected and this is a very bad time for the country.

The day the market crashed was one of the most depressing days of my life. I had to watch my stocks become worth pennis while I frenzied to answer all of my clients calls and there request for pulling out there stocks.
